Here's to you New York...

So, Abby and I took a quick trip up to NYC a few weeks ago to meet up with her mom, and the Esparzas. It was a blast! We made a noble attempt at the Wicked lottery, but ended up consoling ourselves with some incredible Indian food instead. I pretty much gorged myself on photo opportunities, but then, that's just me. Let's see, also on the ticket for the weekend:
  • Bus rides up and back. Those buses are lots nicer than school buses, and way more affordable than driving.
  • Seeing Good Morning America being filmed (the bridal version apparently)
  • Seeing everyone getting ready for the NY marathon that weekend
  • Going to the temple, or at least seeing it.
  • Checking out ground zero and the new memorial. I thought it seemed appropriate to see the NYFD truck next to the prayer flags. (see pics).
  • Hanging out in central park and watching the kids play
  • Catching the Rockettes Christmas show. Nice job ladies! And nice job featuring the real Christmas story. I was really surprised to hear a reading of the Christmas story and seeing a nativity.
  • Lots of walking
  • China town. No trip to NYC is complete without a trip to Chinatown. Actually, it was more grocery shopping for me. And I picked up more Chinese movies. Hard to find anywhere else.
  • Walking across the Brooklyn bridge, and taking pictures with Alex. I was glad to have such great company.
  • Real NYC pizza.
I guess that's about it. It was a lot of fun! So, here's some pics from the trip, or at least a sampler.
