So, I've done this more than once, but this time was the best. If you're in Salt Lake City at New Years, you really should consider the "Beat the New Year 5K" race around Sugar House Park. Actually, I enjoy running around Sugar House Park anytime of year, but New Years Eve is particularly fun because every one gets dressed up (or down as the case may be - yet still family friendly) and runs a 5K before midnight. Abby and I did beat the New Year, in plenty of style I might add.

On the way back, we stopped by Temple Square to see the lights. We were thrilled to see that they were still on. In fact, after we left the lights and got back to the car, we turned around to see that they had just been turned off, so it was perfect timing! Talk about a great night! (It was just fun enough to ignore the blistering cold and all the snow, but that just adds to the fun, right?)
I've always said I'd marry the first guy who took me to see the Christmas lights at Temple Square. Looks like I found him!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this picture of the two of you! It might be a new favorite! :)
