Big Sur

We took advantage of the President's Day weekend to get out of Dodge and explore some territory with no cell reception. Big Sur case through in a big way! We camped Saturday and Sunday night enjoyed hiking around the beaches and a number of the state parks along the way. On Sunday we were able to catch church in Monterey, and then enjoyed walking along the beaches of Point Lobos. Absolutely incredible. That's what we kept saying again and again as we saw so many beautiful sights. The weather was perfect, despite the foreboding forecast that we'd seen before we left. This is definitely a spot we'll be coming back to visit!

  3. Great post! Great photos. We camped at Big Sur many years ago, with 3-4 kids in tow. It was still very fun and very beautiful. I think Abby was still a twinkle in my eye at that point. Glad she finally got to catch up with the older kids on that one. It is a beautiful world!
